Rational thought only comes from semi-coherent questions.....
What exactly are you asking? Why rma? Are you having problems? Are you out or warranty? Did you let the majik smoke out of the GPU?

I would guess he is asking because of Visiontek's financial situation, as in if he ships it to them will they throw it straight in the trash. I believe I read that they are still honoring all warrantys and rebates while they undergo financial restructuring, but that was the last bit of PR to come from them since the big bankruptcy stink. I guess you never know for sure though, you might put it in the mail tomorrow morning and tomorrow night they could decide that its quitting time and lock the doors. I would say that if you can get an RMA # and the card is useless to you then you have nothing to lose, let them take a big toke and refill your majik smoke. If the card still functions correctly in 3-D then its a risk you may or may not want to take.

thanx for the insight styrafoam. my card is sorta semi-functional... it's like i have to adjust it to a certain angle in the agp slot... or else won't work at all. i guess i will stick it out since it still works.

You tried the card in an AGP slot on another PC? The reason I asked is it could be your AGP slot rather then the card.

no i have not tried the card in another pc yet, but when i bought it from a guy on FS/FT... he told me about the problem. so right now, i am just wondering if it would be safe to rma it. i mean... do i have valid ground to rma it, being that it has quirky issues like that?

I would think you do if you both had the same problem with the same card. Talk to Visiontek tech support, but I dont think I would mention the card is second hand. It may void your warranty, I admit I dont know for sure however.
