I'm putting together a computer (see specs below) and the case fans I orders seem to be on permentate back order.

Asus AN8XP Deluxe
2500 XP Barton w/ Thermaltake SLU-800 heatsink and fan
1 Gb Corsair XMS 2700 DDR
ATi Radeon 9100 Pro
WD Raptor
Seagate SATA 120 gb HD
Lite-On CD-RW
Sony DRU-500a DVD Burner
Pinicle Studios Deluxe 8 capture card

The Chieftec case came with a side window fan. I wonder if it same to run given the summer weathers on the way or should I wait till teh fans are here?

meh, if it were me, i'd wait until i get at least an intake and an exhaust. That's the minimum that i'd feel safe with. What fan are you throwing on that 2500 by the way ?

I would use that one fan as a rear exhaust and watch the temps. It may be fine. If not, just leave the side of the case off until you get more fans.

Give it a try. Side case fans are ideally placed, so you're getting cool air where it's needed most. Depending on the size of the case, you should probably be ok. Just keep an eye out on your temps.
