Is it safe to plug blue orb into mobo fan header?

Is is alright to plug a Blue orb into a mobo fan header an not burn it out? Asus A7M266

how many watts is the fan? from what ive read boards are supposed to be able to handle around 4w without the 3pin header taking a "header" (sorry couldnt help it)

but still anything over 2w i would be very wary of plugging into the mobo


by the way if the fan isnt rated in watts, but is rated in amps just multiply the amp by the volts (in this case 12v) and it will give you the watts

Yeah it's not a problem to run the blue orb off of any of the mobo headers, in fact it works great with the fan header on vid cards as well.

It's pretty much designed with the intention of the user plugging the BL'ORB into the mobo.. works perfectly...
