Is it safe to plug a laser printer into a 375VA Beklin UPS?

I have an APC Back-UPS CS 350 that I have my desktop PC plugged into along with my Epson CX6400 printer and some other small stuff.

I also have recently bought this Belkin UPS. Right now, I only have my 19" Planar monitor plugged into it.

Would it be safe to plug my HP LaserJet 4000TN into it as well or not? I think I've heard that you shouldn't plug lasers into UPS machines, but I've never heard anything concrete. It doesn't seem as though it would use a lot of power on powersave mode or when printing, but what do I know? 🙂

I think laser printers have pretty high peak current - check your manual. I doubt you would want to run one from the battery of the UPS at any rate.

My laser printer makes the lights flicker (well, not at my house, but at an older house with less modern wiring).

Ditto the above. Some lasers may also use AC motors which may be caused to malfunction or damaged by the chopped square waves that most battery back-ups put out. I don't recommend putting ANY printer on battery power.
