Is it safe to overclock a Pentium Classic 133 to 166?

I need some advice on overclocking a Pentium Classic 133 to 166. I have this old Gateway laying around, and I want to use it as a MAME box. Some of the arcade games run a little slow at 133MHz, and the most that I can multiply the clock up to is 166MHz. I don't want to put any money into it, as it is a thousand years old and not worth it. How well does the Pentium Classic respond to being overclocked? I don't care if it will shorten the life by some small amount, as long as it doesn't smoke it right away.

Thanks.

Just as safe as it is to overclock any other CPU.

as long as its running at a fairly low temperature, and in the same voltage range it should be fine. Remember though, that with overclocking of any kind, there is a risk that you will damage your CPU - and if you're overclocking via FSB the rest of your components as well.

With modern Heat sinks and fans, you can easily. I ran a p133 @ 200mhz with no problems... I just put a big a$$ HS/fan from a k6 and it worked fine. As far as I know, the guy that has it hasn't had any problems.

It pretty much is definitely worth the overclock even if you could only get 50 mhz. Because unlike with today's proccesors, 50 mhz is one LOT of a overclock. It is almost like 150%.
