is it safe to keep a UPS on bare carpet?

i've had mine on my carpet for 2+ years. no problems. my carpet is not overly thick though. btw, my UPS is a Belkin.

Carpet will have no effect whatsoever on your ups

Other than cushioning it's little feet (if it has any).
