Is it safe to install the software off the Audigy CD on WinXP?

I've got the drivers and such installed for WinXP, but I never installed the creative software (mixer & such) because people were complaining about crashes and stuff.

I find that with the stock WinXP mixer and stuff, I don't/can't get any rear-channel output off the card. I was wondering if installing the software off the Audigy CD would help, and more importantly, whether it's safe to install it or not.

Get the latest version from the Audigy site...........it's XP approved.

I have the driver update, I'm asking about the software - AudioHQ, the mixer, etc.

I am running the software off the Audigy CD, it all works great for me... Audigy Rocks!
