is it safe to flash my bios this way? (auto bios recovery way)

i recently stopped flashing my MSI KT266A Pro 2 motherboard on the kt266a chipset using their flashing utility. the aminf386.exe flasher to flash american bios. well, for all the motherboards i owned, theres a way to recover the bios even if you misflashed it and your computer cant boot. for this MSI motherboard, you have to hold control+home upon bootup and it will automatically read the floppy for a file "AMIBOOT.ROM" and automatically flash to that bios. well, this sounds really easy, so i tried it even when my BIOS was intact and correct. i held the buttons and after 4 beeps i rebooted. the computer turned on successfully with the correct BIOS i flashed to. is this safe?

another kick-ass-cool way to recover a bad bios is to have the identical mobo and swap bios chips while the computer is on. did it once and it worked and i never want to repeat it again =) back in the Abit KT7A days... hehehe.
