Is it safe to buy tires on Friday?

I'm buying a set of 4 tires and getting wheel alignment/balancing done in addition.
I'm afraid that since most people work not as hard on Friday, they may do a half-as*ed job.

Should I do this on Tuesday (since many people also have a case of "Mondays" and tend to work
not as hard on Mondays, as well)?

P.S. After much research, I am buying the Yokohama Avid Touring tires:

Epinions user reviews
Tire Rack user feedback
Supposedly, better than Michelin, BFGoodRich, and most others.

You probably should've bought them already. You're worried about Friday workmanship, when you're probably going to go around closing time...

This is only a problem for people who can't get their Pizza fixed the way they want it. :p

I think if I emailed all the threads you've started today to your doctor he would prescribe Ritalin immediately.

It's just tires, man... not rocket science.
Anyway, I always have my tires done at Les Schwab -- IMO, one of the best stores ever and the only place for tires.

From Office Space:

Peter: When you come in on Monday and you're not feeling real well, does anyone say to you, "Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays?

Lawrence: Sh*t, no man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked saying something like that, man.

:D

"Just Tires"? That's a very suicidal attitude. Friendly reminder: check your tire pressure and tread wear regularly!

Oh, I do, I do. Notice that I mentioned the only place where I have my tires done?
What I meant is that (once you have picked out what you want and where you are going to get them) the installation of tires is not that big of a job. Alignment and balancing is all done by computer now, and the new mounting machines are virtually foolproof. I think you need to put the crack pipe down, eh? :p
