Is it safe to buy show Tix thru Ebay?

Im looking to buy show Tix for NYC for a particular show, was just wondering if anyone has had any prior experience. Wouldnt want to buy counterfeit Tix.

Depends on the seller. It's as safe as anything through ebay. I bought tickets on Ebay before with no problems. If the seller has a good feedback and has sold tickets in the past then I'd say it's safe.

i agree, i've bought tickets through ebay before...if the seller has good feeback, i say go for it

I sold them twice after not being able to make it to a couple of shows for serious reasons. Try for an in person exchange, perhaps. That's what I did one time when I sold them. IIRC, the other time I sent them by insured mail.

Good luck and enjoy the show!

I sold some Dave Matthews Band tickets that way (maybe Counting Crows)...met face to face and the lady was happy (it was sold out).

I sold them at face value, just trying to unload something I couldn't use due to a last minute thing.

I would also check your local classifieds...I have gotten some tickets that way.

I would just treat it like any other eBay transaction - if they have no less than near-flawless feedback, and they do a lot of selling, go for it. Always read the fine print! You don't want to get stuck with not having read, "buyer MUST pick up the tickets in person - no exceptions!" heh.

Read everything very carefully and make sure they don't say they are selling you a copy of a ticket, or a tiecket with the wrong year, or something fishy. But other than that, you're fine. Just don't be like the idiot that bought the iPod BOX the other day.
