Is it safe RE:overclocking 2500

well my mobo is a kt600 A it has a bios overclock feature and i turned the cpu clock from 166 to 190 its running at 2.09 ghz was wondring is this safe bcuzz my fan is only for 2800+ my comp tem is at 35 C

That should be a fine setup. If your ram supports it and you don't have to raise your voltage
the processor would be fine.

The heatsink should be ok too. If your temperature is between 40-50C then you have nothing to worry about.. and you are under 40C now so I would enjoy the extra speed 🙂

50C is fine, especially in the Summer when it tends to go alot higher unless you have a big fan and the A/C on high near the case j/k 🙂

I wouldn't really get concerned until it reaches 60C. It can handle more, but I would not want it to be that high. If you are really worried, either get a better heatsink or a bigger fan.
