Is it reasonable to expect the Xbox360 to drop in price anytime soon?

They stopped manufacturing Xbox's shortly before the 360 came out. I don't think they even have them in stores anymore.

All he said was they're looking at how to make it more cheaply which is in their best interests. A cheaper build just means a better profit margin for Microsoft (possibly more reliable?), and this makes it easier to reduce prices at some undetermined point in the future. In the meantime, they'd enjoy raking in the extra $$$'s until they really needed or wanted to cut the price.

I haven't looked anywhere else, but Micro Center in Columbus, Oh had stacks of xbox360s sitting on the floor, and they are one of the places that has a $100 rebate on them.

No Wiis though..

Just get the Microcenter deal if you live near one and if you don't, pay someone to get it for you, it's still cheaper.
