everyday on the news it seems that some country has been working for years to refine uranium. is a gas centrifuge really that complicated. seems to me that a couple of bored engineering students could build a small one in there basement with parts out of the grainger catalog, a lathe, and a good mill. is really that complicated to enrich a chunk of uranium by 5 percent or so?
so is it really that complicated or is a gas centriguge just a really big expresso machine.
