I just bough some Micron Memory at the local computer store and was wondering how I know if it really is Micron. Is there a way to verify it, as it does not say Micron anywhere.
Micron DOES make memory. Crucial is the online store of Micron. The memory chips on Crucial memory modules are Micron chips, and you can have a generic module with Micron chip as well. Hope this help.
except most generic use cheap 4layer pcbs instead of 6layer which is pc100 standard to cut cost. That's why it's always a good idea to get micron/crucial originals instead of generic.. I just bought 1 gb of crucial.. cost me 1600.. and it's nice..
