Is it possible to get a virus from the distributed.net computing client? Since I started cracking RC5 for TA I've somehow got the W32.HLLW.Qaz.A virus.

People have been distributing the client with virii, or as the client as a trojan itself, but any copy from Dnet is clean. On the flip side, AV programs have been known to detect the client as a virus, but only as Win32.Weird.12288. So, you're definately infected, but luckily, it didn't come from the client.🙂
