Hello, I was wondering is it possible to have both a 5.1 headset and 2.1 speaker system hooked up to my computer at the same time, I do not want them to play at the same time i would like to be able to switch between them without unpluging anything.

Currently using my Onboard Sound Card - Currently I cannot even get surround sound on my headset at all (not really the problem)

My Headset is - Tritton AX360 True 5.1 Digital Audio Gaming Headphones - Dolby Certified

My Speaker System is - Logitech Z-2300 THX Certified 2.1 200-watt Speaker System

My motherboard is a Dell Dimension E521

Basicly my main question / comment is is it possible to have them both plugged into the computer at the same time and switch between; I am also wanted to buy a quality sound card to make this possible.

That headset has optical ports for digital so you could hook them up that way and the speakers just regular analog ports. You would probably have to switch them manually. I don't know if your mobo has optical out on it but if you buy a soundcard then you obviously would get one with it.
