or is it pretty much given a given that if my bf% goes down, so will my weight/size?

i'm trying to cut without losing a lot of weight/mass.

Sure. Keep your caloric intake even with your output and your weight will maintain. Keep your protein intake as high as if you were bulking, cut down on fat and to an extent, carbs as well. Do heavy lifts as if you were trying to add weight (because you ARE still adding muscle in order to keep the same weight). And of course, enough cardio to raise your caloric output as needed.

i hate cutting sometimes cause i do lose a good amount of size. i'm down to almost 200 from being about 215 a few months ago and my strength in a few exercises has gone down like 10lbs or so (in bench and shoulder presses).

i can tell some of my clothes don't fit as snug as they used to also.

but i also think getting off celltech made me lose some size as well.

If you eat at maintenance you will stay at the same body weight, but since at some points in the days you may be anabolic and others catabolic you will stay the same weight, but slowly gain muscle as losing fat. It's a very slow way to go about it though and generally not recommended. I'd recommend a complete skinny-fat beginner to do so, but not anybody else.

Another option would be following Ultimate Diet 2.0 for mass gains. It's a hard diet to stick to, but if done right you should gain muscle while losing body fat. Otherwise, just cut and deal with feeling small until it's time to bulk again. Just make sure to keep the deficit moderate, protein high and maintain strength in the gym and LBM loss shouldn't be much of a problem.

REDUCE FAT

Spam.

Anyways, to contribute to the thread, I believe it is possible to maintain your weight while reducing body fat (depending on how much fat you need to lose). In this case it has more to do with hormones than anything else, and you can control your hormones via the foods that you eat (high saturated fat increases testosterone levels, excessive carbs will hinder you), through the exercises you do (high intensity is king here, heavy weights, sprints, keep your time in the gym to a minimum, no LISS!), managing stress levels (cortisol is not your friend), and getting adequate rest (9 hours of sleep a night is best).
