Let's ask the mods. You first. I'll do it if you get approval, this is my consent post. Refer them to here.

I'm not reluctant, I just couldn't be bothered to PM a mod. :p

got a reply from the mod! Pretty kewl guy...erm.. person... here is what s/he said:

Sorry, but our software does not allow transferring posts from one account to another.

To reset his post count to zero, we would have to delete his account and all of his posts. That would delete any thread he started and all of his replies. That would leave replies that referred to his posts without the reference and make a shambles of our archived posts.

No harm in asking, but no can do.

That's some pretty bad software if you can't even update a post count. I know many large forum programs that make it very easy to change postcount or whatever. You can even delete an account without it removing threads and such.

everyone should pile the posts up, keep giving them all to each other. then give the result to me. :)

RagingBITCH had his nick changed and then a while later started a new RagingBITCH account....maybe you could try a similar gambit?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure it can be done, but what the mod replied is an easy way out of something that is pointless to do in the first place.

Have mods change your name, start new account with original name. Done.

I'm guessing that if they change a posters name, it also changes the name on every reply of theirs in the database (which therefore eleminates any archive problems). So I suppose you could do the same thing that RagingBITCH did.
