is it possible to use a pc without a video card?

i want to take advantage of BFG's deal where i can send in my geforce 6800 and get a 9800gt for only $50, but i dont own another pc or videocard, so if i do go for this deal i will end up without a video card for probably close to 2 weeks. obviously i wont be able to play games, but can i still run windows and get online without a video card installed? i have an athlon 3200+, asus a8v deluxe mobo, and windows xp home if that matters.

You'll be getting a PCIE graphics card which isn't compatible with the AGP slot on your motherboard.

i know that, i have already purchased a new mobo+cpu, ram and powersupply to go along with the new video card 😉
