Hello,
I have a VAIO laptop with a 17" wide screen display. I wanted to know if I can use my desktop to display through my VAIO. I have the docking station, but I do not know if this is possible. Can anyone give me any step by step instructions on how to do this? Much appreciated.

in general the concensus here is that it is impossible to directly hook up a laptop monitor to a desktop, however you could use remote desktop software such as VNC or display cloning software such as maxivista to acheive what you want with the laptop up and running.

in your case I think the cheapest solution would be a VNC variant, but I'm a bit out of date which one is the latest and greatest maybe someone else can give you the info on that or you can google it.
