Is it possible to use a bluetooth device with two devices?

Before I go off and buy my Bluetooth USB adapter... I would like to know if this works.

I already experienced funky problems when linking it with two phones (I had forgotten to turn off bluetooth on the old phone).

My phone always links with the headset when I open it up. How would the headset know whether it should links with the notebook or the phone?

It should work, in the bluetooth world, it creates "channels" for each device and I think most bluetooth devices support up to 12 simultaneous devices at once.- IIRC

It really depends on the device. My phone will not connect to my headset when connected to my laptop, but my laptop can be connected to both my PDA and phone at the same time.

Thats pretty much it. I was just looking at a class 1 bluetooth dongle (dont know what else to call it) that connects up to 7 devices at 300 feet.

Not sure what Class 2 and Class 3 devices will do.
