What i have is a thin HP zu1155 notebook with a mobile p3 700 in it (non ultra low voltage).
now, i noticed that intel makes ultra low voltage mobile processors up to 900mhz w/512k l2 (i think 100fsb), is it possible to upgrade my laptop processor to a new .13 ultra low voltage processor @900mhz (my laptop already runs at 100fsb). will the notebook allow me to do this? or would i need a new bios?
here is a link to what intel sells in terms of ultra low voltage p3-ms
or would you think it would be easier to upgrade to a low voltage p3 celeron processor?
check out these ultra low voltage p3 celerons
i'm looking at ultra low voltage processors only because currently i get about 2.5 hours of battery life out of my super slim laptop, but maybe if i get a faster ultra low voltage processor i can extend that to 3.5-4hours
is this possible????????? any input or links would be greatly appreciated
where do you buy these ultra low voltage processors?
would i have to send the laptop back to HP to have this done, or could i do it myself?
