I've found quite a good deal on one but don't really want bright blue lights in my case. Does anyone know if it is possible to turn them off somehow without voiding the warranty or are they always on?
Thanks

I would say no. The fan LEDs are most likly fed off the motor.

Remove the fan, break the surface with Scoth-Brite or fine sand paper, prep it with alcohol,(not rubbing alcohol,
that has oil in it) then shoot it with two lite applications of flat black paint.

I didn't buy it, and the deal is on the LED type, hence my question.

oh i bet you can fairly easily. The leds would be in parallel with the fan so removing them wontbe a problem. You merely need to cut an led leg, desolder it, or do the same on the resistor that most likely goes along with the led
