Is it possible to softmod a 6600 to a 6600gt?

I have a 6600 here and i was curious if i could softmod it to a 6600gt with rivatuner...

6600 already has 8 pipes, just like the GT... nothing to softmod, just start overclocking. They will overclock pretty signficantly, though they will never get to the speed as a 6600GT because the RAM is slower. You can get pretty close though.

All you need to do is overclock.. Your memory won't clock so high though as you're trying to compete against GDDR3 with GDDR.

Ok. So the difference between a 6600 and a 6600gt is different than the diff between a 6800 and a 6800gt

The difference between the 6600 and 6600GT is similar to the difference between the 6800GT and the 6800Ultra. Same pipes, just lower speeds. Remember, a regular 6800, only has 12 Pipes, NOT 16.
