Is it possible to set up several sets of 5 piece computer speakers in different rooms?

Since 5 piece computer speaker sets are so cheap now (40 to 60 and higher) and sound really good is it possible to distribute a signal(either from computer or home receiver) to several sets of speakers in several rooms at the same time.

I had envisioned setting the 4 small satellite spkrs in the 4 corners near the ceiling with subwoofer hidden somewhere. I know the sound wouldn't be terribly loud but probably sufficient.

Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

Yeah it works for me. Just need long cables, that's all.
