Is there some way to repair a card that's been fried? I saw the same card I have on Ebay sell for over $30.00 shipped (non working).
It's an EVGA 6800gt/256/agp.

Sure it's possible to sell it.
That's a silly question.

I suppose what I was trying to ask was it is possible to repair one, hence someone looking for a "dead" card for a cheap price?
Hey, if people will buy a peice of toasted bread with an image of Jesus/Mary or whatever, I know someone would buy a dead videocard.
Did the lightning burn an image of Saddam Hussein onto the video card?Originally posted by: CorCentral

I sold a broken Xbox for $100. Poor bastard didn't have a chance at fixing it, I used too hot of a soldering iron and burned off a few of the points on the motherboard. And you can bet it wasn't under warranty anymore, either.

I bought my friend's broken XBox for $70 a couple years ago, $5 fuse later I had a working XBox.
Buying broken stuff is a crap shoot, I usually assume I could fix 30% of it.
