Is it possible to "sack" a non-qb?

Say a QB hands it off to his RB, who drops back to pass, but in that event he is tackled for a loss--is that considered a sack or running loss?

Can you only sack someone who took the snap from center?

QB sacks are considered a run for a loss.

It is in college--in the NFL it's counted under team passing.
