Is it possible to run both SATA and IDE drives in the same system?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm not familiar with how this works and am going to be upgrading to a 925X motherboard. Do you have to use one controller or the other, or can you use both?

You can use both, unless you have a very strange motherboard.

Yes, I'm doing it right now with 2 SATA and 3 IDE drives on an i865 board.
