I was wondering if there was anyway possible that i can have 2 dvd burners on my pc.Right now i'm running 2 burners and a dvdrom with np.But i wanna just keep 1 of those burners and add 2 dvd burners.so that why i can still have a fast 24x cdrw.I wanna get the pioneer a03 drives.

Here's my systems specs

Xp1700
Ecs K7S5A Mobo
Wd 120Gb 7200 2mb Hard Drive
2 Sticks of 256Mb Ddr Ram Crucail
2 24x Lite-on Cdrw's
Lite-On Dvdrom
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Pny Tnt 32Mb Video Card
Atx Mid Size case with 250watts power supply

The 250W PSU is definately going to be a problem with all those goodies, I would upgrade to at least a 350Wor 400W PSU 🙂

Do you mean, will that cause any compatibility issues? The answer is no. It's just like running 2 CDRWs. But you are pushing your poor PSU... Don't need 400 watts, but 300-350 would be nice. Also, it will get pretty hot with all that burning... Do you have proper cooling?

Abit M/B with built in HighPoint = 4 IDE channels = 8 Devices
Built In IDE 2 channels = 4 Devices
Add HighPoint RocketRAID 404 PCI = 4 IDE channels = 8 devices
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total = 20 IDE devices on one system
Required: A multiprocessor machine, 4 GB of RAM, 2000W PS and plenty of IRQs!!!

Theoretically, n IDE devices are possible, assuming you have n/2 IDE channels and n/2 IRQs available.

On a side note NDENT, you planning to offer Kazaa content offline or what? lol 🙂

Just kidding, but curious abt why you need TWO DVD-burners....
