Is it possible to restore drive images over a network?

Hello all,

I was recently contacted about working on a large network, and I'm not all that familiar with the possibilities. What I need to do is wipe all the computers and then bring them back up again and configure them.

I'd like to create a master HD image from one computer and copy it to the many identical computers remotely and over the network. Is this possible? To make myself clear, I want to image once and restore many times the entire hard drive.

If this is possible, what software would I use? If it's not, what is the best alternative option? Just taking out individual hard drives and hooking them up to the master computer?

Thanks,
Swan

Acronis True Image8.

You create a boot floppies or CD (included with the program).

Boot the empty Computer with the Acronis boot, the boot core would connect to any shareable computers on the Network and would transfer any desirable TrueImage to the empty computer.

Altiris Deployment Server.

Boot the computers via PXE and pull down an image.

My vote is with Jack for Acronis True Image. I used to use Ghost then I tried Acronis and I will never go back. Acronis light years ahead of Ghost.

I use Ghostcast server, and I can image 2 or 100 PC's with 2000 Pro image in less than 5 minutes. Network is 100MB switched network.
