Is it possible to Ping a range of IP addresses all at once?

I am in the process of changing a group of IP addresses to other addresses... after I am done it would be nice to be able to tell which ones I missed and are still in use. Is it possible to ping a range of IP addresses? Will the results be displayed in a way that indicates the status of each address just like I had pinged them all individually? Is it possible to write the results to a log so that I can save the information? Finally... what would the commands to do this look like?
