name my own price and then change the flight time by calling the airline company? Is it doable? What if I "unintentionally" miss my flight and have to take the next flight? Will they let me do that? Please someone with experience let me know. Thanks!

But anyway, I doubt they would allow anything that would result in that sort f scamming.
 
Airline knows you got your ticket through Priceline or anything else like that.

They will tell you to work through them for any problems.
 
If you call ahead to change your flight, you will have to pay a penalty PLUS the difference in the airfare. If you miss your flight, you are at the mercy of the airlines as to carriage on a later flight.

Your best bet is to go early on the day of travel to the airport and try to make a change. Some airlines will let you make the change for a small fee ($25 to $75).
