I'm an IS person and I really don't appreciate having to connect to netscape every time I want to setup a new computer, considering that a majority of the time the computer I'm setting up is not able to connect to the internet at the time. If anyone has or knows of a way to obtain the actual setup files please let me know. I already tried and clicked the little box that said save files locally, but it seems that those files also require me to connect to netscape's web site.

Hey ,

if you look on your temp directory after you've installed netscape6, there;s usually a single installation file for netscape. This has always been the case for all netscape versions in the past. It has weird file name but you'll indentify it from its icon.

Or you can login anonymously to ftp.netscape.com and dig in there.

I haven't installed the final version of Netscape 6, but with the preview versions there was a button somewhere during the initial setup that said "Advanced" or something, and when you clicked on it one of the options was to save the installation files.

I am currently using Mozilla 0.6 and it is a nice download (9 megs i think). If you want it to have the netscape logo in the corner instead of the Mozilla one, after you install just go to the Netscape themeworld and download the Mozillium skin.

Good luck
