Sepecifically its a Canon MultiPASS C530 Printer. I tried to network it the way I did with my old printer but i keep getting an "unable to communicate" error. What I did is right click the printer click sharing and followed the directions. I installed a network printer on the other computer. I am using Windows 2000. It prints fine localy. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanx for any help.

are you trying to install the software on computers other than the one it is physically connected to? If so, that won't work. Easiest way is this:
Once the printer is shared:
Go to another computer and browse the network. Go to your computer that it is connected to and you should see the printer. Right-click and choose install or double click it. It will install the way it should be.

Or....install the driver manually and point it to \\computer_name\shared_printer_name.

Or, buy an HP officejet, they are much better (I do tech support for them).
