Is it possible to mix and match pc100 and pc133 memory of different sizes (Say one 128mb pc133 and one 64mb pc100) on a tyan 1854 mb ? Will the mb downgrade everything to 100mhz ?

Will it even work ? For that matter, is it okay to mix same speed 128mb and 64mb dimms on the same mb ?

Im asking because Im getting a almost free 64mb pc100 stick and am wondering if Im better of without it because I already got a 128mb pc133.

i'm not familiar with the mb but you can mix pc100 and pc133 on any board, it will default to the pc100 speed. What kind of processor are you using is it one with a 133fsb or 100, because many pc100 chips can actually hit 133 now. You wont have any problems if its running at a 100fsb because your pc133 will be running at 100 anyway

you will have to take your chances that the pc100 will be ok at 133, many people have been able to get their pc100 up to 125-133 range, however you may have to lower the CAS setting to 3 if thats possible on you mb.
