Here is my setup
-A64 3200 w/ MSI FIS2R mobo
-1 gig of ocz plat 4400
-1 9800 pro
- 2 x 36 raptors in raid 0
-nec 2500a dvd drive
-watercooled if that makes a difference

To make a long stoy short I previously had a raid 0 setup and installed xp on another hard drive(ide). I was wondering if I could boot using my ide hd as master and still have access to the data on my raid 0 as a secondary hd.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. You should be able to change the boot order in the BIOS or disable booting in the RAID setup and then install XP on the PATA HD.

I must be doing something wrong. I already have a clean install on a pata hd. In the boot sequence I put the pata hd first, the raid array second, and my cd rom last. But, I still cant see my raid array.

I didn't think of installing the raid drivers in xp on my PATA HD because it was recognized on boot up and in the bios, but its worth a try
