is it possible to make backup copies of my camecube games?

I doubt it, but they may be willing to send you a replacement disc if it gets damaged. I've always wondered about that, it costs them next to nothing to make the disc, it would be good customer service to replace your disc for a small fee rather than force you to buy another copy.

Thats an excellent diea. I'm going to contact a few game makers and see!!
<- has 3 kids, one of which plays hell on my discs (not out of any fault of his own, he's 3)

Camecube? 😕

Yes, it's the current generation game system from Nintendo. It's less expensive than the other two, has a lot of the same games (particularly the ones I'd want to play, not crap like Halo), AND it has the Zelda franchise.

Hmm, I just looked at the process to "backup" Gamecube games and I just have to say it doesn't look like it would be worth the effort. The method I saw involved owning phantasy star online, connecting to your pc, running a program on your pc to rip the disc, then when you want to run it, you stream it back from the pc to the GC. All at 10Mbps. ~1hr to rip a single disc. Well its out there if you want it, just google for it. Doesn't look like it's worth it, cheaper to replace the occassional game that gets damaged.

Same here. Though we dug out the old N64. Only problem is I keep rediscovering cool games on it, and I have to elbow the little fellow out of the way. Fortunately I'm bigger than he is. Unfortunately he cries, whines, etc. 🙂

Roms > you

I have a near complete set of Nintendo, Super Nintendo and N64 roms. Alot of Genesis as well. Bought a game controller for 20 bucks from Best Buy. Best time for downloads and money for controller I ever spent. <y son absolutely loves it, and alot of the games are easier for him to play (he's 3).
I HIGHLY recommend grabbing some ROMS if you have young kids. Unfortunately, you'll be fighting over playing them 😉

Dah crap. My bad. 🙂 Camecube... I'm just so used to PS2 and Xbox snobs making fun of Gamecube.

Just wondering.. I want to get some more games but he is rough.
Have you tried teaching him not to throw things around? If you don't get it done at an early age you'll have to wait a long time. 😉

It's the new Nintendo console for adults that "came" with attachments.

:Q

😀

Cheers Pepsei

If I had a Camecube, I'd probably quit posting on AT, throw away my Gamecube, quit looking for a girlfriend, and never leave home again. 😛

My thoughts exactly... That or put the games on a high shelf.
