Is it possible to legally change your sex?

I'm pretty sure it is. When I was looking into getting my name changed legally one of the forms available was for a gender change.

I don't know if the change was technically legal, but Christine Jorgensen changed her name and sex.

Interesting..now that I think about it though, a person can't really do this in hopes of getting married to their partner, since the equipment he used to have is why they want to get married..
