If you believe that hardware blending and depth processing is always more efficient under the same application than using dp software processing for blending and depth, then tell me why.
If you believe that it cannot be concluded that sw blending and depth are always less efficient, given the same application, than doing it via HW, then tell me why

I believe it is a gray area but I want to hear what others think and I am sure everyone here could make a better case for it being a gray area than myself.
I'm sure the vast majority of people here believe using hardware blend ing and depth are superior to using double precision shaders, so I want those people to make the best arguement(s) they can as to why they believe what they believe.
