As for NATO I'm sure other member nations could ask France, Belgium and Germany to withdraw. Do you seriously think they will though? What political advantage is there for making that effort? Zip. No, the status quo will be maintained....it takes an earthquake to get bureacrats to change something.
1. Yup. I did not see Saddam attack anyone or do anything for that matter.
2. The Europeans will maintain a cool head and let our crazy cowboy-shoot-them-up president run wild for some time. As soon as a new president is in power (one with more brains) everyone will return to the round table called cooperation.
