Is it possible to install WinXP with a wireless keyboard?

My HD in the ol carputer was either damaged or corrupted from trying to boot up too many times in below freezing weather. Half the time the os isn't detected and the other half of the time it is but never really fully boots.

Before I give up on the hard drive, I'd like to try and repair windows because there are a ton of system files that it complains about when it does try to boot. However, I only have a wireless keyboard and it doesn't get detected until after windows loads up. For example, the times that windows isn't detected I can't press ctrl-alt-del to restart. I don't have the luxury of being able to plug in a ps2 keyboard since the computer is built into my glove box and the back ports are out of reach.

I'm wondering if it will be possible for me to "press any key to install windows xp" when given that option after inserting my winxp disc.

I use a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop on my own system, I've never had a problem installing Windows and I've used WinXP Home Edition, Pro, x64, and Server 2003 with it.

I have the diNovo which is Bluetooth and it still works. I'm not sure if that is because the dock is connected through both USB and PS2 or not but regardless it works fine.

Maybe you have to turn on usb keyboard and mouse support in your motherboard's bios. I'm not even sure exactly what that does, but it's worth a shot.

crazydood is right, as long as you have usb keyboard support enabled in the bios you should be able to use the keyboard before windows has started.
