Is it possible to have a WiFi router set up with an AOL dialup connection?

A friend of mine just got a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a WiFi card. He would like to keep using his AOL dialup connection, but also wants to access the Internet wirelessly in his house. I wonder if there are any WiFi routers with built-in modems? If so, could he keep on using his AOL connection? If not, is there anything he can buy to keep on using his AOL dialup connection and access it using his WiFi card?

I wish he would just get a broadband connection, but he thinks it's too expensive since he only checks his emails and does not download much stuff.

Thanks for any help.

I think I found what is needed for this problem with the Wiflyer. Click here for more information.

I think it seems pretty cool. Do you think there is a better solution? Also, I thought about those wireless telephone jacks. What do you think?

Thanks for any suggestions.

[*]AOL is $23.90 a mo.
[*]Basic broadband should start at $6 more per mo.

SBC's current promotion is about $17/mo for DSL.

There are few solutions for DialUp and Wireless ( http://www.ezlan.net/DialUp.html ).

Howvever most of them might Not work with AOL.

AOL use thier own "Kinky" DialSocket, make sure that what ever you buy is clearly stating that it is AOL compatible.

Thanks a lot for all of your replies.

My friend only has a laptop. His 6 year old desktop PC just died and he decided to replace it with the laptop. I will probably go the Wiflyer route, or I will try to convince him to get DSL, since it is like $30.00 right now with Verizon.

I personally have OOL, but I don't think he'll want to spend $45.00 for it.
