Is it possible to have a dual boot set up with two copies of Win98

Is there any software that will enable me to use two versions of win08 in the same way that different operating systems can be used? I want to be able to set my machine up so it'll boot with one set of drivers for my sequencer software - the APS Live! drivers, and another boot where it'll load up the original SoundBlaster drivers so I don't have any problems with EAX errors with the games I recently bought.

How do I set that up, hopejr? I want it so I have a choice between drivers at boot up - one optimised for gaming and multimedia and one for creativity software.

I think what you're wanting to do isn't a dual boot of Win98 (which is impossible really, except using floppy disks or a weird boot manager), is use hardware profiles. The set up for that is somewhere in System Properties (I haven't used 98 for ages, so I can't remember where). You'll get a menu on startup asking which profile to use, just before the GUI starts.

Otherwise, have two copies of Win98, make a boot floppy, change the WinDir and WinBootDir paths to the path of the one you want to boot from floppy into (i.e. C:\WIN98), and set BootGUI=1 so that it boots into the GUI.

Thanks all. I was wondered what Hardware Profiles were for. I've found out the information about to set them up from Microsoft's site. This should do that trick.

Using hardware profiles doesn't seem to work. I can set it up so different devices are enabled and disabled, but I cannot use different drivers for the same device for each profile.

May just do that. I'm considering making a windows98 cdc and use the empty F parition for it's registry. Ideally I should be using the KX drivers for the SBLive! card, but I can't get the damn things to work.
