You might be wondering why I only use the one, but here is the situation.

I have a 10mbps network card in my PC at the moment, as the network at home is done with Coaxial cable (50 ohm). I often go to LAN's, and like to leech a lot of files.

If I get a 100mbps card, it's going to save a lot of time when transferring files.

So will having 2 cards in the one machine work ?

just configure whichever one you want to use to the local LAN settings..or simply disable the one you're not using at the time in device manager

well, how is your LAN setup? DHCP? static IP's?

i have 2 NICs in my machine, one is the "external" internet and one is an "internal" intranet.

you go into tcp/ip properties for each specific card and configure accordingly

if you tell me a little more about your network and why you added 2 NIC's..i can probably help ya out
