Is it possible to get this kind of FPS on a tnt 2 ultra?

Hey guys, i'm getting a really good deal on a TNT 2 ultra for 16 bucks (buying it from my friend, upgrading from a voodoo 2 heh)...

Anyway, i'm going to be building a system and i will, hopefully, be able to overclock a duron 600 @ 1000. My question is, will i be able to go above 120 fps in timedemo 1 of quake 3? Given that i will be playing in absolute crap mode (low quality + more config video hacks, i.e. vertex lighting, etc.) in 640 x 480 resolution?

I really don't want my fps dropping below 120 fps...

lol why? But yes, if you turn off everything, it becomes mostly CPU limited, not fillrate. But....why would you need that much?

I play somewhat competetively so i need a setup that will make my fps to never go below 120.

Not too many people know this, but the physics of quake 3 is affected by how many fps you get... setting /com_maxfps 120 in the console allows me to make certain jumps (i.e. the MH jump on dm13).

And that is exactly why I don't play Q3.

Anyway, if you don't mind what resolution you play in, you could probly get that in 6x4x16, probably more.

That's good to know, although i'd like more input to get a general consensus :)
