I am using my PS5 with my Asus 24" 1080p 144hz monitor I was wondering if it was possible to get Surround sound on PS5 with the Creative X3 and my Logitech 2.1 Speakers? I can only seem to get stereo sound, not sure if anyone knows how to do it with or without the Creative X3.

Thank you

I don't think the x3 supports surround sound on the ps5
Also, the PS5 has no dedicated audio ports.

Supposedly you need a UAC1 device to get surround on the PS5. If you get a compatible device, you might be able to use the PC-Audio input which should be the green jack on the monitor as your front speakers and the 2.1 speakers as your side speakers. You'd need a 3.5mm cable for the monitor and may or may not need to use the displayport or DVI to prevent the audio defaulting to HDMI.

Alright thank you for the reply. I'll look into the alternatives. I don't think the X3 supports surround on the PS5 as well. Its a shame because the X3 sounds so good on PC but when I run the PS5 using the same speakers I use on PC with the X3 you can really tell is just stereo on the PS5 and the sound is not satisfying at all lol

The current beta PS5 OS has support for 3D audio via TV speakers. Once that is released it might give virtual surround assuming the X3 is not doing any additional processesing to the signal which might mess up what the PS5 is doing. Might only work over HDMI audio though. How are you connecting everything to the PS5?

Do you know if its safe to update to Latest Beta on PS5? I would like to test this. And yes unfortunately the X3 is not adding any enhancements to the sound such as surround sound or anything else at least not via 2.1 Speakers haven't tested it with Headphones yet. I can confirm tho that the sound is a bit better when plugging the X3 to the Speakers and the PS5 instead of just plugging the speakers to the back of the monitor on the PS5.

Eventually I do plan on getting a nice 43" 4K TV with a decent sound bar but for now my PC monitor is my best bet as it looks better than my 720p 32" Older model TV.

I generally stay away from beta stuff for consoles. I haven't heard much in the way of major issues, but YMMV. If you are OK with the chance you will need to wipe everything go for it.

Yeah I figured there was a catch I am not going to do it then.
