Is it possible to get both digital and analog cable in your home at the same time?

I am moving soon, and want to get digital cable for some of the extra channels, but I really only want it on the main TV. Is it possible to have it hooked up to the main tv and then have another TV or 2 just using standard analog cable? Or when you have digital cable, is it required to have the box to descramble it, or is that only for the extra digital channle and PPV stuff?

just hook your tv up directly to the cable connection in another room. you should get the basic channels

yeah klin i sright

when you get digital you also get analog (basic) channels also. you can hook up a TV without a box to that.

I just tried disconnecting my box and plugging it directly into the tv and it worked for basic and cable channels and HBO, but not any other movie channels or PPV.

That's interesting, since HBO should be regulated by the cable box...whoever your cable guy is, he must have done something at the main box to have HBO unfiltered, much like my cable guy did for $20 when I was at UM.
