is it possible to get american television in foreign countries?

I'm thinking of working abroad, but i'd still like to get american tv. Can you get that through satelites or something? I especially want to keep up with football 🙂

Hope you aren't refering to DTV or Dish Networks. Neither work in europe. Europe does have sat tv but I don't know what they carry.

There's some product that can be used to transmit a television feed through the Internet to a receiver in a remote country. It was written up in the Circuits section of the New York Times at some point, but I cannot seem to find it or recall the name 🙁

We don't have TV in Canada, sorry. We site around and tell stores by the camp fire for entertainment.
