This is the second of these cards i have had,the first was causing an interference on my monitor so i returned it.The first one had winbond 6ns ram on it,but this one has hyundai 7ns ram on it.I thought all geforce 2mx cards are supposed to have 166mhz ram minimum??Should i be taking it back just for the fact that it should have the faster ram? Besides this it seems to work fine. Thanks

All GeForce2 MX cards are speced to have their SDRAM clocked at 166MHz, but this is not a necessity and some board makers have clocked their RAM higher/lower. Especially among the slower MX200 variety it is common to see their RAM clocked at 143MHz.

Just because the card has 7ns RAM which is speced to run at 143MHz doesnt necessarily mean it is running at that speed, some manufacturers put 7ns RAM on their board and clock it at 166MHz anyway as 7ns RAM usually has a bit of head-room.

So long as your not looking to overclock the memory on your card I'd say it's fine and you should stick with it.
