Is it possible to get a decent laptop

For only £500ish, that can play recent games smoothly at native res (even if minimum detail and the aforementioned res is low). If it isn't, where would be the best place to look (which company makes the best, closest to the objective, ones)

I think Asus gives you most bang for your buck. Scan through some of them on newegg.com

I live in the UK, so newegg is understandably out, i'm mainly looking for general reccommendations though so I shall look up asus.

The 2 best low cost gaming laptops I know of are the Gateway FX line, I have p-7805u that is fantastic, and the Asus g50vt models.

Gateway notebook is good for playing any decent gamesand at decent price
